Hull Stingrays vs Edinburgh Capitals
5th February 05

Edinburgh Capitals were the visitors to the Hull Arena this weekend.
Early on in the first the Capitals found the Stingrays napping and good work
behind Ladislav Kudrna's net gave him space to chip the puck over Kudrnas stick and
find Martin Cingel in front of the net to fire high above the net minder.
Dino Bauba doubled Edinburgh's lead after 11.11 had gone on the
clock.
A time out called by Rick Strachan seemed to boot the Stingrays to
life and just seconds after putting a 1-1 wide Jeff Glowa caught a wayward puck,
dropped it to the ice and hit home past Dave Troffimenkoff while Jan Krajicek
was sitting out 2 minutes for slashing.
From the face off it took 8 seconds for the equalizer Jeff Glowa this time setting
up Rublivsky who had an open net to put the puck into.
Rublivsky and Johnston traded goals in the second period and with Hull Stingrays
needing a win to be assured of playoff hockey it was going to be a tense third period.
When Jeff Glowa, who didn't stop working all night, got his second and Ladislav Kudrna
helped set up a 1-1 breakaway for Sergiy Rublivsky.
His stick work fooled Troffimenkoff into committing himself early and Sergiy got his
hat-trick goal and finished the scoring for the night.
This win guarantees that Hull Stingrays will be playing in the playoffs at the end off the season.
Wednesday night Bracknell Bees visit the Hull Arena and a win will see them secure the
league title and on Saturday Guildford Flames will face the Hull Stingrays face off 5:30
