Hull Community Party Nominations - Deadline: Wednesday 28th March 07

The Council Elections will be held in May and 19 Wards across the city will be electing one Councillor. Could that be you?

You may have been working in the Community or Voluntary Sector for some time or you may be a Community Volunteer who has an interest in eradicating deprivation in Hull, either in the wider community or for one particular group or Area.

Peter Martin is a long term committee member of a Residents Association. He currently runs a Community led Neighbourhood Management project on Longhill Estate and is a member of Residents.net.
He is interested in forming a new Community Party for Hull, and is seeking those who would like to become members of this new party, and stand for election in May.

If enough people come forward, the Community Party will be able to field at least one new candidate in each of the 19 Wards that are polling.

Nomination packs are available from the electoral office in the Guildhall now and need to be returned by Wednesday 28th March 07.
If you believe that you have the time and commitment to become a member of a new party based upon the principles of community first and wish to know more, then please contact Peter by email at Peter.loc@onestopshop.karoo.co.uk.
