Your chance to win a holiday for 2, Avid software or an XBOX 360 as part of

Following the huge success of propellertv's first ever short film festival,
ShortFest, we are now launching a brand new competition to find the most
horrifying short.
To get involved all you've got to do is send in your horror short (no longer

News, Community - And The Winners Are ... The Children of North Hull
|
|
Local children (27) had a great time last week at the Champions Challenge Holiday Club run at Cottingham Road Baptist Church. Based on Scripture Union's holiday club material the 4 days were full of games, crafts, drama, music, video presentations and Bible stories as children learned how to achieve their personal best and work in a team.
The holiday club ran from 9.30am until 12.30pm

Local Hull poet, Joe Hakim is set to perform at the Latitude festival in Suffolk
this weekend (18th to 20th July).
Armed with his battery of gritty, challenging spoken word material, Joe

News, Community - Free Car Washing in the Rain
|
|
Local children, Young People and some adults, gave up their Saturday (5th July 2008) to wash cars in the pouring rain. There was no charge for the service and the drivers and passengers were encouraged to go into the church hall to be served coffee and cake, again all free of charge.
The initiative was organised by the Young People of Cottingham Road Baptist Church
as a way of serving the local community.
